The play is written and directed by Runa Rodahl Øvland and is in the genre of The Theatre of the Oppressed, which utilizes a number of techniques elaborated by the late Brazilian Augusto Boal in the 1960s. These techniques are terribly interesting and far too many to get into here, but the main objective of The Theatre of the Oppressed is nothing less than a metamorphosis for the spectator. Rødt Lys will open on the 20th of August at Litteraturhuset in Oslo, and is a part of Amaliedagene.
